This notice explains the basis on which EMF Endeavours (operating under the trading name EM Publishing) holds personal data, the manner in which they are stored, the purposes for which they are processed, and the rights, under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018, of individuals whose data are stored and processed by EMF Endeavours.

 

Data which you provide to EMF Endeavours are held by EMF Endeavours and are controlled and processed by that organisation. They are stored on password-protected devices using a secure Wi-Fi connection and behind firewalls provided by McAfee and NOD32; the devices in question run anti-virus and anti-malware software provided by McAfee and NOD32, which are updated daily. The English Music Festival also employs a robust data backup strategy in order to safeguard against loss of data.

 

If you have given express consent to EM Publishing for EM Publishing to use your personal data for marketing purposes, your data will be used to send you information about the activities of EM Publishing. Your data will be retained by EM Publishing as long as its activities continue. However, if, having granted your consent to your data being processed by EM Publishing and used for such a purpose, you decide at a future date that you no longer wish us to retain them, you are entirely free to withdraw that consent. You will not need to give a reason. Your details will then be entirely and permanently removed from our systems.

 

If you have provided your personal details to EM Publishing in the course of the purchase of tickets or other merchandise, but have not given your express consent for your data to be used for any other purpose, EM Publishing will use your data only for the purpose of fulfilling its contractual obligations to you with respect to the purchase or purchases that you have made. Under these circumstances, your data will be retained only as long as is necessary for the full discharge of EM Publishing’s contractual obligations to you.

 

Under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018, you have the following rights with respect to any and all of your personal data as provided by you to EM Publishing: the right to access your personal data and supplementary information at any time; the right to have your personal data corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete; the right to request the deletion or removal of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for their continued processing by EM Publishing; the right to ‘block’ or suppress processing of your personal data; and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that your data are being abused by us in any way.

 

Your data will never be sold or otherwise distributed to any third party. Neither will your data be subject to solely automated decision-making or profiling.
